Create a Patriotic Theme for the 2011 Riverside 4th of July Parade. The Theme Contest Winner will receive a $100 Savings Bond and will ride in the 4th of July Parade.
All participants will receive a Grumpy’s coupon.
Contest open to all children (Kindergarten – 5th Grades)

What: Ecology Club Members take part in Brookfield’s Project N.I.C.E.
When: Saturday, April 30th, 8:30 a.m.
Meet: At Brookfield Village Hall Court Room
Why: Ecology Club will be assigned spot in the Hollywood community, including Kiwanis Park to help plant, pick up trash, mulch, pull weed
Bring: Work gloves, rakes
Who (specifically): Ecology Club members from Kindergarten through 2nd grade can attend with a parent who will stay with them; 3 through 5 club members can attend on their own but we need at least 1 parent per 5 kids in this age group to supervise all kids. If you are a parent who can supervise other kids, please let us know. Kids will be picked up outside Hollywood School at noon. All participants receive a free t-shirt
If you would like to participate, please contact Martha Carlson. Your quick response is appreciated – we need a headcount by Tuesday.
The Frederick Law Olmstead Society of Riverside is sponsoring a Poetry Contest – Reflections on Riverside. The deadline is April 30, 2011. A $25 prize is awarded to each elementary school winner and a $50 prize is awarded to each middle school winner.
