Annual Halloween Window Painting

Halloween Window Event 2011

Who: All K – 5th Graders in Riverside

What: It’s time to paint Halloween art for display in the windows of our local Riverside businesses. Rather than paint directly on the windows, students will paint on paper.

When: Saturday, October 22, 2011, 3:15 pm – 6:15 pm

Where: Riverside Parks and Recreation, Water Tower, 10 Pine Ave., Riverside

You Bring: Bring your own Paint and Paint Brushes. Paper will be provided.

Cost: $1

Want to participate? Please complete the form below, $1 enclosed, in an envelope marked “Halloween Windows” and return to your PTO/PTA/P.I.E. box in your school office, by  Thursday, October 20.

Art Classes after School at Ascension Lutheran Church

Welcome to the 2011-2012 school year! We would like to invite everyone who would like to explore and create art in a supportive and fun environment. Classes will begin the week of September 26th. This year we will be offering three different classes specifically geared towards age and development.

Art & Creative Play (Parent/Caregiver & child)
Age: 3 to Kindergarten Thursdays: 1:00- 2:00

ArtStart
Age: 1st & 2nd Grade
Tuesdays: 3:15-4:15

Art Explorers
Age: 3rd Grade to 5th Grade
Wednesdays: 3:15- 4:15

Time is ticking… they are only little once… lives are more hectic than ever… Would you like to spend some quality time focusing on DAD & SON?

Join a great group of guys for a few hours a month focusing on dads and sons in a fun atmosphere that promotes leadership, communication skills, bonding, and learning. Go on camping trips and participate in fun activities with your little brave. “It’s a DAD thing”

WHO? Fathers and Sons (Kindergarten through 5th Grade)
WHAT? YMCA Indian Guides Program – Riverside/Hollywood Chapter
Affiliated with the Prairie Trail Federation and sponsored by the Rich Port YMCA
WHEN? We meet one Thursday a month, 6:30 to 8:00
The program runs during the school year from September through May
WHERE? Riverside Scout Cabin, plus many planned events
Fun things like: laser tag, bowling, swimming, batting cages, and much more
PLUS! CAMPOUTS – at YMCA CAMPS in Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan and Indiana
