Flying High FUNdraiser Night – May 18th!

Flying High Registration Form

Did you miss the deadline for early registration for Flying High? No worries! You can still register your child or just show up tomorrow night at 7pm and pay $20 at the door.  The kids have a blast, you are helping raise funds for the PTA and you get some time without the kids! For each child that signs up, $7 will go to the Hollywood School PTA. Don’t miss out! Details are in the attached flyer.

Rain Garden Work Done By Ecology Club

This past Tuesday, the Hollywood Ecology Club planted three additional species in the student-created rain garden near the Kindergarten classroom. The new plants were picked on the advice of Shawn Sinn, landscape architect and former Hollywood parent, and were voted on by all Hollywood students earlier in the year. Mr. Sinn also worked with all Hollywood students during the creation of the rain garden several years ago.
In addition, we found that one section of the garden in particular was overrun with a square-stemmed weed. The kids pulled out several gardening bags worth of the weed (and got popsicles for the hard work).
Look for the garden to start having blooming flowers very soon. Thank you to Mr. Sinn for coming in to help update the garden.
