What is Beauty? The National PTA sponsors an art contest each year. This year the theme is “Beauty is. . . “ All entries are due to the Hollywood office by November 20th. Please help your child choose a project. Details and forms will be coming home in backpacks and e-backpack or check out http://www.ptareflections.org/cs/rules_and_documents. Come join the Hollywood community at our Annual Family Movie Night on Friday, October 16th at 7:00pm in the Hollywood gym. As the Halloween season draws near and spooky family fun is in the air, there seems to be no better way to celebrate a Friday night than by watching Freaky Friday! We will be watching the original Freaky Friday movie, starring Jodie Foster and Barbara Harris. Dinner, drinks, and snacks will be available to purchase. Proceeds from the evening will benefit UNICEF. Please bring blankets, pillows, or sleeping bags to sit on. All family members are welcome! Children are to be accompanied and supervised by an adult. We look forward to seeing you on Friday, October 16th!

Hollywood School’s Veterans Day Celebration (previously indicated on the district calendar for Nov. 13th) has been changed to November 11th, 2009 at 10:00am. This change is being made to try and have as much opportunity for veterans to attend as possible. Because many people have Veterans Day off from work, this gives veterans and non-veterans who work a better opportunity to participate in this celebration with their children. More information on this celebration is posted on today’s e-backpack.
