Get Ready for Summer Swimming

R.B. Otters will be holding a 4-week Spring Clinic beginning May 11th at the new pool at R.B. high school. Otters is a swim team for school-age students. It’s a great opportunity to get back in shape for summer swimming. There will be two experience levels: NOVICE and EXPERIENCED. Each swimmer must also be registered with Illinois Swimming, Inc. ($60 fee payable to Illinois Swimming – good for 1 calendar year). For more information, see the registration form or the Otters’ website: www.rbotters.org.

Celebrate Youth in Art Month!!

Have you noticed all of the extra children frolicking in the halls of Hollywood?  Ms. Mathis had her students re-imagine themselves in the style of several famous artists.  Hollywood looks amazing with the art figures all around the school.  Ms. Mathis would like to recognize the volunteers that helped put up the, “Youth in Art” Installation.   It could not have happened without their help and hard work.  Special thanks to Mrs. Kierith Kurth and Mrs. Laura Meehan.

Babysitter’s Training 4/25/09 American Red Cross Hillside, IL

What is the Babysitter’s Training Program?
Since 1981, the American Red Cross has built a foundation of training youth to be great babysitters.
Today the program reaches about 120,000 youth nationwide each year.

The primary purpose of the American Red Cross Babysitter’s Training course is to provide youth who
want to babysit with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly care for children and
infants. Designed for youth ages 11 to 15, the course helps participants develop leadership skills, build
a babysitting business, keep themselves and others safe and guide children’s behavior. Participants
also learn about basic child care and basic first aid.

Babysitter’s Training will be held at the Hillside Facility on April 25th from 9 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.  Please call Customer Service for registration information at 1-800-337-2338.
