With regard to the upcoming election for school board members, there will be four (4) vacancies.  The terms of Cheryl Berdelle, Linda Bade, Nancy Jensen, and Rich Volpe will expire in April 2009.

 

The first day for circulating petitions is Tuesday, October 28, 2008.  At least fifty (50) signatures are required per candidate.  The first day for filing nominating papers is Tuesday, January 20, 2009, beginning at 8:00 a.m. in the District Administrative Office, 2400 S. 10th Avenue, North Riverside.  As board secretary, Judy Novak serves as the district local election official.  The last day for filing is 5:00 p.m. on Monday, January 26, 2009.

The Cook County Board of Elections (www.voterinfo.net) will have a Candidate Handbook that contains more specific information and the necessary forms available within the next couple of weeks.
