All District 96 schools will be open for students on Wednesday, September 17
Please be aware that as of 3pm Tuesday, First Avenue is closed between 31st Street and Ogden Avenue and Forest Road is closed between First Avenue and Longcommon Road.
All Riverside District 96 schools will be closed on Tuesday, Sept. 16th. All Hauser’s after-school athletic and co-curricular activities on Tuesday, Sept. 16th are cancelled.
Due to unprecedented flooding, street closures and ComEd-mandated power shutdowns; the Village of Riverside public safety officials strongly requested that schools remain closed on Tuesday, Sept 16th. District 96 will comply with this request and will close schools for one additional day – Tuesday, Sept. 16th. However, all staff (teachers, support staff and custodians) should report for work.”
