Parents across district 96 have been having an email conversation about overcrowding issues and such.  We have moved this conversation to a yahoo group.  Please join this group if you are interested in what is happening.  Simply follow the link at the end of this email to join. 

You can join with full access or with email access only.  The full access will allow you to post and receive emails, post documents and pictures to the group site.  The email only access will allow you to post  emails as part of the conversation.  So for many of you, email only will be the way to go.

The next Board of Education Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, January 15, 7:30 p.m., at Hauser Jr. High School’s Learning Resource Center. The Education Committee will meet prior to the general session. Although the agenda is posted on the district’s website, www.district96.org, one of the agenda items will be to “Consider elimination of Kindergarten Enrichment in 2008-09.” The Board hopes to hear comments about enrichment from future kindergarten parents prior to its decision. Parents of incoming kindergarteners are encouraged to come and share their thoughts.

Don’t pack a lunch for your child on Monday 1/14  if they ordered the yummy Home Run Inn Pasta with Butter Sauce, Breadstick, Fruit Snacks & Juice Box.

How Will Hollywood Enrollment Change?

The Results Are In! The Hollywood Community Association has been conducting a survey to get a better handle on school enrollment patterns. Come hear the results and participate in a discussion about ramifications and next steps. January 12th at 7pm at the Hollywood Community House.
