Ecology Club’s final meeting of the school year was Tuesday, May 20th, and following a tip from a parent, we headed out first to see a very large cherry tree that had fallen overnight due to rotting roots. The kids were able to touch a piece of squishy root, which was interesting (of course!). We then proceeded to Kiwanis Park where there was a small ice cream treat for each student. The kids wanted to walk along Salt Creek this time rather than through the oak savannah, which is a very nice walk during the spring.
Thank you Ecology Club kids and parents for such a great year.
Next year, Ecology Club will be run by the Hoffmann family and I hope each to hear about wonderful activities!
